Fujifilm’s customized Print Excellence Consulting is for anyone that has an objective of improving print quality, maintaining print consistency, and reducing print cost. Working together with your team we define your objectives – whether it’s improving proof-to-press color match, improving the print process, or implementing a new technology – and then use a systematic project-based ap¬proach to meet them. The following are all areas of focus for this consulting program, and after a needs analysis, the most effective consulting program will be customized for your needs.Color Alignment
Color reproduction can be subjective and difficult to control. However, using technology and best practices refined over years of in-the-field application, we help you with difficult color matching problems. Most often the problem is matching proof-to-press, but the same techniques can be used to align color between multiple presses and proofing systems and even multiple sites.
Process Control
One of the greatest difficulties faced by printing companies is maintaining consistency in a printing process that has countless variables. Although it may seem like a daunting task, consistency can be achieved through the application of process control procedures that are a critical part of any good manufacturing process. Standards Implementation
As printing has moved from a craft-based process to a manufacturing process, it has become clear that there is a need for standards to ensure color reproduction expectations are met. Our consultants understand the prepress and pressroom requirements to achieve standards such as SWOP and GRACoL 7, and they will help you implement any production and process changes necessary to consistently and verifiably print to these industry specs.
Advanced Screening Implementation
Advanced screening technologies such as stochastic screening, hybrid screening, and very high frequency screening are now allowing printers to improve overall print quality over tra¬ditional methods. Unfortunately, none of these technologies is a “drop in” and they require pressroom testing, the creation of customized plate curves, and the tuning of digital proof¬ing systems to match them. Custom Plate Curve Development
Maintaining repeatable results on press begins in the pre-press area. Fujifilm consultants will benchmark your press with a linear press run and establish a target tone curve to match your shop standard. The newly created curve can be set up to match your new standard or to match work that you ran before implementing CTP.
Color Management Consulting
New color management tools and standards have given content creators and printers a wide array of options for controlling color reproduction across different media.
